So nice to be able to be going through this with my sis! She's a few months behind me (I'm 37 weeks and she's 24 weeks) and just now starting to look pregnant. Good thing too because I'm about to pop!

Work, Work, Work

So I figured since I'll be taking some time off fairly soon that I'd show off a little of the work I do. I'll be going back to my graphic design job after the baby, but taking less responsibility than before. Hope you enjoy!

Maternity Shoot

Here's a sneak peek of what I spent my afternoon doing today. Rachel was amazing and holy cow went above and beyond what I expected. Four hours and many outfits later this is just one of what's to come! Thanks Rachel!!!! Steele The Moment Photography rocks!
Justin was playing with these blocks for like 10 min after we used them for another shot, he came up with some great photos on our camera and then shoved his hand into this shot. It turned out awesome!
Can I tell you how freakin' happy I am that we finally have some awesome family shots of us!!! After the wedding (which we got some awesome shots from, so don't think I didn't like them) we were still kinda missing "that one" that was just us and deserved to be blown up and be on our wall. I'm really excited to see what else Rachel has in store for us!

Busy Busy Busy

Well, so much is going on right now. First Nicole and I took Kelsey to Texas to visit our dad and grandma. We had a great time, Kelsey loved bread, hated bed time. Thanks darling for preparing me for motherhood. Grandma was so happy to meet Kelsey for the first time and it was great to see her too, the last time was at my wedding almost 2 years ago! Way too long.

Justin and I are having...... A BOY!!! We are so excited because that is what we were hoping for. When I was in Texas my step mom Chloe took Nicole and I to a kids resale store and i'm not even kidding bought out the store! It was so fun to get prepared for the little one and we found some amazing deals (like a $50 vest for $5, and a super cute wool jacket for $4).

So it's back to the grind for a few weeks then Justin and I are going on a weekend couple retreat with our church. We've never done anything like this so it'll be interesting for sure. I'm looking forward to just being able to focus on us. Hope all is well with all of you and we'll keep you posted on any other new news.

It's a Boy!!!

So... in case you were wondering...

....we're pregnant! I am about 10 weeks along at this point and we're so excited. We got to see the first ultrasound last week and couldn't believe that we could already see so much. We saw the baby's heartbeat (nice and strong) and it's little hands and feet. The most amazing part was when it was doing a little booty shake for us to see while we were watching. I've been feeling alright so far, not getting morning sickness, but I haven't been able to look at chicken for a couple of weeks now. I'll be taking more walks on the beach, so if anyone would like to join me just let me know!

Kelsey's First Birthday

We have the cutest niece EVER!!!! She just turned one and we went down to L.A. with Grandma to celebrate. Nicole made her a chocolate cake to mash her face in, but what a priss Kelsey was. Barely putting one finger in the icing! So mean ol' antie Holly got a grand idea... the next time she went near the cake with her finger, I shoved her whole hand in the cake, then she got the idea and started digging in (with help from me, totally humanitarian I am, and so be it if i got to eat cake with my hands too). Uncle Justin picked out the best gift, a stuffed penguin that is also a book, Kelsey was loving it.

Our Anniversary

Congratulations to us! We made it a year!!! Ok, well we've been together for three years now but now we've been together in matrimony for a year. We decided to celebrate by getting out of town (well I decided for both of us) so San Fran here we come! Little side note: I didn't find out 'till after that it was gay pride weekend and one of the busiest weekends there. And let me tell you I have now seen enough public nakedness to last me a lifetime.
We went and saw Wicked. SO GOOD! Go see it if you can. Even Justin loved it and i'm trying to wean him into musicals.
We also went to the Asian Art museum where Justin was able to see the actual practice swords of his favorite samurai, as well as the five scrolls he penned about life and how to live honorably. (Yes he got teary eyed)
We walked, and walked, and walked, and walked. We figured out we probably logged 16 miles in two days, but it was worth it. I don't know if i'll ever go back, it was cool to visit, but when I feel like i'm going to be mugged in broad day light in a public place, i usually don't feel all that safe. But we managed to come home without incident on Sunday night. (And slept most of Monday).
All in all it was a really fun whirlwind trip. Check back for pictues soon!
