What we did this weekend.

Justin's cousins are National Ranked Roller Skaters (and the cutest girls ever), this weekend we were finally able to go see their show. Check out this video of what we saw! (The afro girl that gets lifted and spun is one of his cousins). On a totally random note, Mena Suvari was there and when were invited to put on roller skates and skate with the team I almost killed her by running her into a wall. Yup it was a random weekend.

Tea Fire

Well here is the fire from my house. The fuzzy white thing at the end is the house at the end of my block. We voluntarily evacuated last night around 10:30pm. We decided to leave because after watering down the house there wasn't much more we could do and we had to think about our pets. Our brother very generously opened his house to us to stay, so we're here now. Please say a prayer for us and our home. I'll keep updated with any changes.

I'm an auntie!!!

My sis gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on the 21st. Kelsey was born at 4:04 pm, 7lbs 15oz. I was there for the entire birth and it wasn't nearly as gross as I thought it would be. Amazing that such a huge baby could come out of her! These are pics from the photo shoot I did for Evan and Nicole. Check out the link to her blog to the right.

New Ventures from Old Ideas

Well it's official, Holly finally went out and searched for a job that pertains to her major. Literally made 2 phone calls from the phone book, and nailed down interviews for both, I was offered the first position almost before I asked for it! Still have the other interview at the end of the month!! It is in Los Olivos, and I will working for a lady who has such a niche in the graphic industry she only creates ad spaces for Arabian Horse magazines. I won't start for a few weeks but the pay is excellent and it's only part time to start (2 days a week), which is great because I can ease into my job there and possible take the other one too if it's offered to me.
Justin has also been accepted to take the test for his contractors license. He doesn't have it yet, but the application is a lengthy process and we were a little overwhelmed by all the paperwork. Now he has to take two 8 hour saturday classes then they'll give him the test. Keep him in your thoughts! This will be a great opportunity for both of us and with gods grace we will succeed!

Lake Nacimiento

I just thought you all would like to see what we do at the lake every year. This was a trip back in June, and we had so much fun. I wish I had a picture of our tent, we were pirates this year and spent two days making a canon with canonballs, and a killer treasure chest that Justin took a blow torch to. There's a lot of sitting, eating and tanning at the lake. Okay and some drinking, but what would camping be without a story to tell! Well that would have to be Justin winning the Camp Star game, the first year we've done it. The "dares" range from wearing a speedo for a day and doing the dishes, to being voted least liked for the day and most obnoxious. We go up with about 20 people, here's most of us at the BBQ joint on the way home. There's always room for more so if you'd like to join us at Lake Nacimiento next year give me a shout!
